The short, The car has been in the family for over 40 years, my Dad always wanted a Gasser so I built it for him. He never races it, just wanted to give rides to kids, family and friends. I bought the car from him before he passed away and had my painter (El Spwak) paint it is Dads name C.B. Ray (CBRayCharger) my pop was a Mopar guy.

MoreJDP Motorsports in Utah modified my Zl1 1le to 900 horses using your RXT 1200. I am to put 500 miles on the car and then return to JDP for any adjustments. The car shudders somewhat in first gear. Can the clutch shudder be resolved through adjustments? It would be helpful to have some sound advice so that I can pass on my concerns to the mechanic. Also, I\'m originally from Georgia, if you can tell.

MoreFrom the factory she was born a Reef Blue, black gut, LX hatchback. 3 years ago she went under the knife for a complete build in every aspect and is nearing the finish line next season. This was the first car i have ever built so i did not know what to expect financially, but cars are my passion so i was ready to accept whatever obstacles were thrown my way. I bought the car from Long Island, NY for $9,000 in July 2020. She came with a 68\' block that was stroked out to a 347ci N/A paired to a TKO600 and McLeod Street Extreme clutch making around 400whp. Fast forward 2 months of owning i went forward with an On3 Turbo setup that ran me about $3,000. Made it over to the dyno an the setup made 570whp/650tq at 11psi on 93 pump gas. Enjoyed for about 4 months an ripped everything out. This is where the snowball starts snowballing, and the dominos start falling .. Put the mostly all my time and effort into my job as a Union Local 103 Licensed Electrician as started working 7 10hr days a week soaking up the doubletime to prepare myself for my dream build. I sold the motor, turbo kit, and transmission and put the funds towards a fresh blueprinted assembly Dart Iron Eagle 363ci short block. While waiting for it to show up, my very close an dear friend of mine Danny Duarte and I figured while everything was out of the car let\'s decide at this very moment this build will not take shortcuts, absolutely no cut corners, and a build done the right way. We started with some serious planning and all new sheet metal. Fast forward a couple months, the car had a clean slate to make this vision of mine come true. We were hitting the ground running to put everything together. Not realizing how much things cost due to this being my first build, I quickly understood that building your dream car goes from being a passion to sometimes a privilege. I wanted the best of everything i could afford and wasn\'t going to settle. Needless to say, i have replaced everything i could have all the way down to every nut and bolt, leaving with a current and STILL CLIMBING TOTAL of $104,000 ... Here are the basics, Dart Iron Eagle 363ci Built T56 Magnum 6spd McLeod RST1200 HD Twin Disc Bullet Racing .739/.730 solid roller Forced Inductions 82/93 T6 turbo AFR220s with everything add on possible Holley HP and digital dash Coil near plug ignition Magnafuel 750 fuel pump 160lb Holley injectors with FIC 120lb backups Tick Performance front billet plate Tick Performance trans pump Thrasher Fab braced 8.8 rear end 35 spline Strange Axles with spool Custom fire suppression system CO2 boost control system While waiting for parts i sent the car off to Steve LaPlante at Elite Collisions in Dighton, MA for an entire full body repaint of the one year only production Reef Blue and color match for the bay Danny and I completely shaved. The pictures body work and paint alone don\'t do any justice to show the pure skill and talent Steve has. Fast foward to now.. Still in the assembly stage, taking every bit of caution I now have a longblock, fully custom coldside, of course the McLeod RXT1200HD sitting perfectly inbetween my built T56 Magnum with the must have Tick Performance front billet plate, and a fully built 9.6:1 Dart 363ci. My goal is to make 800whp on 93 pump gas and 1000+whp on C16, but we will cross that bridge when its time to wake her up. This entire process has been life changing for me. The amount of knowledge i have learned from Danny, the rewarding feeling of checking one thing after another off my to-do list, an the people that i have already met just from this passion we all share has been unforgettable and greatly appreciated in more ways than i can explain. The only things left to do is wire the entire car from scratch which i will be doing myself, couple odds and ends, then shes off to the dyno for her first start up.

For some, passion for speed and adrenaline is hardwired into their DNA. With few years of drag racing experience, I have found my home behind the wheel of my prized possession dragster. Not coming from a racing background, I headed into uncharted territory and never looked back. I have not had any formal training, my Husband has been my coach but I taught myself how to get down the track. It was a learning experience and basically trial and error for me. Racing a 2006 Mustang GT Premium Roush drag car. The car was completely stock when my Husband and I purchased it with 19,000 Miles on it. After doing some research, we decided to have Brenspeed start the build on it out of Pierceton, IN. I take it to the drag strip regularly and have become something of a role model for some of the local High School Students. I am a school bus driver by day and drag racer by night. I like to bring the car over to the local school auto shop programs and talk to the kids about not street racing and track safety. We need to get kids involved so our sport continues to grow and prosper. My goal is to get people to follow their dreams, because if I would’ve listened to the people who told me I couldn’t make this happen, I wouldn’t be where I am today. No matter how big your dream seems, it is possible, and that’s what I want people to remember. My current goals are to become more comfortable with the car, gaining the experience I need to eventually win a national or divisional event. I would love to travel more for racing, and get the opportunity to compete at as many racetracks as possible. MoreIt’s 1992 Honda Civic CX hatchback. I was painted Urban Green back in 2003. I’ve owned the car since 2002. The car is currently running a fully built GSR motor bored out to 85mm 89 stroke and compression is 12.0 and it’s making 243HP naturally aspirated on 91 octane pump gas. I have recently installed the MCLEOD clutch and flywheel and the car feels amazing and I’m definitely looking forward to someday boosting the car again as well 😊💪🏽👍
